Over the past few weeks I've been creating Google Business Photos 360 virtual tours of the VisionFirst Eye Centers in the Birmingham, Alabama area. The first one is the Trussville location. The building it's self is fantastic looking. Because of weather I did have to go back when the sky wasn't so gray. I think you will agree that it was worth the effort. I was very impressed by the staff at VisionFirst. Everyone was very professional and great to work with. I could tell by watching their patient interactions that they know what they're doing and really care for them. The amount of state of the art equipment was very impressive as well. There was training going on for the staff nearly every time I went in. I know that they will do an excellent job for you if you need eye care! A few weeks a go I had the pleasure of creating a Google Business Photos virtual tour of Cozumel Mexican Restaurant in Pelham. I love the vibrant colors inside and out. I think it's really fitting for how colorful the people are who work there and the food. Cozumel's is one of the best kept secrets in the Birmingham area. The food is really excellent and the price is a great value. The real attraction though, is the service. Rosie and her team are like family and they treat you like a guest in their home. Kelly and I eat there quite often as it's by far our favorite Mexican restaurant! I'm proud to show it off and I look forward to many years of success for Cozumels! Dixie Fish Co - Seafood Restaurant Birmingham, Alabama - Tommy Daspit Google Business Photographer /
Last week I created a Google Business Photos virtual tour of Dixie Fish Co a new seafood restaurant in Birmingham on HWY 280. The restaurant is HUGE! They also book parties and events in one of their four individual spaces. The tour and photos is not only great for couples looking for a place to start their weekend or a businessperson traveling who's tired of the supper from a sack, but also those looking for a rehearsal dinner location or corporate party. (I'm a member of a networking group that meets there every Thursday morning for example.) The size and layout made this one of the most challenging locations I've photographed to date. It took a lot of effort to make sure all the connections and paths flowed seamlessly and that the light was right to show off the fantastic interior styling. In the end I'm very excited about the result as is the client! Dedra Miele, the director of catering and events, told me that she's already used it to book a function. The person she was working with was calling from Nevada for an event here in Birmingham. She was hesitant because she wouldn't be able to view the space in person before the event. Dedra directed her to the tour online and the customer was so thrilled that she booked on the spot! In one week the investment in the Google Business Photos program was showing results! It's a little unusual to be photographing another photographers studio. There's a "special kind of pressure" in doing this. I always want to create amazing images and amazing virtual tours for all of my clients. However, with another photographer it's hard not to feel a little self conscious. I know what I'm doing and I'm confident in my abilities but it's still nerve racking. Fortunately, Gretchen and I are good friends and we've actually worked together on many shoots over the years. She does entirely different photography from me so we aren't exactly competitors. She is a portrait and wedding photographer. She specializes in children and senior portraits as well as amazing weddings. I've assisted her on several of her weddings. I'm no longer a portrait or wedding photography. These days I focus exclusively on my commercial, editorial, and Google Business photography. Very often when someone asks me about portraits or weddings I send them Gretchen's way. Remon's Clothier - Men's Clothing Store at The Summit in Birmingham - Google Business Photos /
I had the pleasure of working with Remon and his sons in creating Google Business Photos for his men's clothing store. It's a small family run business and I think that makes a huge difference. The attention to detail, personal service, and the relationships they have with there customers can't be found at the big box stores. In addition to men's clothing and shoes they also do custom tailoring and alterations. There store is a little tucked out of the way at The Summit. They're behind Saks and close to Mountain High.
